Impediments to Performance under Turkish Law of Obligations

The limits of the debtor’s strict liability under impediments to performance are treated differently in the scholarship and in the jurisprudence of the Court of Cassation. This study examines the dogmatic structure of impediments within the framework of TCO arts. 136–137 and addresses their practical implications.
